Festival de Marimba Paiz
2024
Since 1980, the “Festival de Marimba Paiz” in Guatemala City has celebrated the vibrant sounds of Marimba music, showcasing many artists from a wide range of genres with the main propose of celebrating the instrument and its cultural impact on the Guatemalan society and culture. 2024´s edition featured performances by the Ska legends Malacates Trebol Shop and the GRAMMY® award winner Gaby Moreno just to name a few.
I had the honor of crafting the visual identity for this iconic festival, overseeing the creative direction and graphic design. The main purpose was to create a mix between the tradition and history of Marimba music and the energetic rebellion of today's Guatemalan youth. My work aimed to capture the festival's rich heritage and dynamic spirit, creating a cohesive and striking visual experience for all attendees.
